You will arrive in the tented desert camp
which is thirty eight
kilometers from Jaisalmer,
by jeep. Mounted on camels, you visit
the Sam sand dunes and witness the beauty and welcome the
respite of
sunset. There will be plenty
to see and do in the reconstructed village fair
where shops are selling bangles, traditional shoes, local
sweets and drinks, pan, handicrafts and more. Women
decorate the hands and feet by
applying
henna, astrologers cast star charts, charmers
hypnotize snakes with their music and palmists read
your history from the hand. Fabric painting, kite flying, puppet
shows, pottery, and folk dance entertain. There is
certainly something for everyone. You will be housed in
two man tented rooms and there will be a common toilet
facility and showers segregated by gender. Camel
races, camel polo, and games complete this unforgettable desert
foray. |
